Halo is a Value Added Service integrated directly into Intouch Retail and will enhance the retail customer experience.
The development of Halo was to bridge the gap between InTouch and third party services. While the services themselves worked as expected their use was hindered by the setup and administration thereof. Halo will resolve this shortcoming by giving the Intouch user an integrated experience as if they were working with any other feature in Intouch.
Halo allows multiple merchants to load, redeem and enquire balances of giftcards through a single secure service.
The Retailer will also be issued with a unique Bin range to which their 19 digit gift card number will need to be prefixed with.
You are also be able to load the value of a refund to a giftcard for a customer to use at a later stage.
Emailing invoices sends HTML formatted invoices to any customer where you have captured their email address. This could be an existing customer or simply where you have captured an email address in the delivery details of a transaction.
The Retailer will provide their own custom HTML layout and logo or else make use of the default template.
Voucher campaigns allow a Retailer to setup a period based voucher promotion, where the customer will be rewarded with vouchers based on the value of a particular brand he has bought. The Retailer supplies the voucher listing which is loaded into Halo along with the brand, start and end date and voucher message.
As an example, you could load a 100 random voucher values into Halo with the campaign being linked to a brand called “Monster” and for every R 100 spent on a Monster product you will receive a voucher.
Therefore if you purchase R 200 worth of Monster products, you will receive 2 vouchers. These vouchers are printed as barcodes at then end of the till slip.
On the your next purchase, you can redeem these vouchers which will then be converted to a discount value on the sale.
When the customer makes a purchase that falls within the required parameters, they will receive a slip with a barcode voucher.
With the launch of the new version of a product, a retailer may wish to run a targeted campaign to customers who bought the previous version. The retailer can do this by identifying the customers based on the purchase history in Halo and send discount coupons directly to those customers which in turn can only be redeemed once.
These coupons can be sent via SMS, E-Mail or as a push notification to the mobile application.
In conjunction with the Giftcard functionality, Halo can be used to load monetary rewards on to a customer’s loyalty card.
A simple example would be a retailer wanting to reward returning customers with R 50 for every R 1000 spent. Traditionally , this R 50 would be an individual voucher and the customer could accumulate multiples of these, but with Halo, these rewards would be loaded onto the customer’s loyalty card to be redeemed as and when the customer chooses.
Halo has the ability to send the customer an SMS once a sale is concluded to rate the experience. This assumes the customer’s cell number has been captured on the sale.
The customer can then reply with a rating which will be linked to the sale and can be reported on via daily reports and via Slack Alerts.
Slack is a business messaging tool similar to Whatsapp but much more powerful. Alerts and messages can be sent from Intouch to Slack and notify managers and business owners about key performance indicators such as poor customer ratings , discount authorizations and daily turnover.
Slack is free to use but if you wish to store message history then there is a subscription charge.
The Customer Portal allows a customer to login using his/her email address or cell phone number and view all transactions done to the supported retailers and allow for viewing and printing of their invoices.
The retailer portal will allow the retailer to monitor giftcard and voucher campaign performance as well as enquire on any customer transaction.
3rd Party Voucher Issuing & Redemptions
3rd Party Issuing and Redemptions allows a retailer to track rewards that are redeemed outside of their own retail environment.
An example of this would be where a retailer offers a free cup of coffee to a customer but the coffee is outsourced. This will allow retailers to track the liability owed to a 3rd party.
