Ally Pally Darts Challenge (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a darts tracking and practice app that helps you record games, visualize your throws, and view statistics. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the app.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

• Email address – When you create an account or sign in, we store your email address to identify your account and allow basic communication (for example, password reset and account support).
• Display name and profile photo – If you provide a name or photo, we store and display these within the app (for example in leagues, challenges, and your profile).

1.2 Gameplay and stats

We store information related to your darts activity, including:

• Game history (for example 301, Killer, solo and challenge/league games),
• Throws data (values, doubles, triples, checkouts, misses, etc.),
• Aggregated stats (wins/losses, best game, averages, Killer darts to close, hit map segments, and similar metrics).

This information is used to power the app’s features (stats, history, hit maps). We do not treat this as sensitive personal information.

1.3 Device and usage data

We may collect basic technical data such as:

• Device type and operating system version,
• App version,
• Crash logs and performance data.

This is primarily for debugging, app stability, and understanding how features are used.

2. How we collect data

We use the following third‑party services to operate Ally Pally Darts Challenge:

• Firebase Authentication – to manage user sign‑in and accounts.
• Firebase Firestore – to store user profiles, game history, stats, and league/challenge data.
• Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics (if enabled) – to help us understand app usage and diagnose crashes.

These services collect and store data on our behalf. We are responsible for how we configure and use them.

3. How we use your data

3.1 Core app functionality

• Creating and managing your account,
• Storing and displaying your games, throws, stats, and hit maps,
• Running leagues and challenges.

3.2 App improvement & reliability

• Monitoring performance and crash reports,
• Understanding which features are used to prioritise improvements.

3.3 Communication

We may use your email address for:

• Responding to support requests,
• Important service messages (for example changes to this Policy or critical issues).

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use third‑party advertising SDKs in this app.

4. Legal bases (EU/UK users)

If you are in the EU/UK, we rely on:

• Performance of a contract – to provide the app and its features,
• Legitimate interests – to improve the app, prevent abuse, and maintain security,
• Consent – where required by law (for example for certain analytics, if applicable).

5. Data sharing

We may share your data in these limited situations:

• Service providers: with trusted third parties (such as Firebase/Google) who process data on our behalf to provide infrastructure, storage, authentication, and analytics.
• Legal reasons: if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not share your email address or stats with advertisers for their own marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as:

• Your account is active, and
• It is needed to provide the app and features described in this Policy.

If you delete your account (see below), we delete your user profile and associated stats from our primary database. Some aggregated or anonymised data (for example counts or logs without identifiers) may be retained for analytics, security, or legal purposes.

7. Your rights and choices

7.1 Access and update

You can view and update certain profile information (such as display name and photo) within the app.

7.2 Delete account and data

You can delete your account and data from within the app:

• Open the Profile tab.
• Select “Delete account & data”.
• After you confirm, we delete your user profile and stats from our database and delete your authentication account.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you experience issues using the in‑app deletion or have additional requests, you can contact us at the email address below.

7.3 Other rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (for example to object to processing, request restriction, or data portability). You can exercise these rights by contacting us.

8. Children’s privacy

Ally Pally Darts Challenge is not directed at children under the age required by local law (for example 13 or 16). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure. You should also keep your device and account credentials safe.

10. International transfers

Our service providers (such as Firebase) may store and process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
